The Lemon Diet to Lose 20 Pounds and Detox Your Body in 14 Day

Lemon is a fruit with a thousand virtues, and maybe we don’t know them all yet. Thanks to vitamin C, a natural antioxidant, lemon helps prevent cellular aging, counteracts free radicals, prevents seasonal flu, tones intestinal walls by stimulating cell renewal.

The Lemon Diet harnesses the power of this fruit to boost metabolism, especially for fats. By adding lemon teas to your daily routine, the diet can serve as a diuretic and draining agent to fight fluid retention and cellulite.

Lemon Diet Allowed Foods

Of course, it is a low-calorie diet, a rather rigid and strict regimen that does not exceed 1200 calories per day. In addition to lemon, the following foods are allowed in this diet:

  • Meat – Chicken breast
  • FISH

  • whole grain pasta
  • whole grain bread
  • Brown rice
  • Raw or cooked vegetables
  • Vegetable soups

Like any good low-calorie diet, pasta and rice should be limited to 60 grams a day, bread to 30 grams a day, and meat and fish to 150 grams a day. For oil, no more than three teaspoons a day. Lemon juice can be added to everything, without limit.

Here’s how to make lemon tea

Hand Holding A Cup Of Herbal Tea

The Lemon Diet involves drinking lemon herbal tea four times a day: when you wake up, with your morning meal, as a snack, and before you go to sleep.

It is prepared by heating water without boiling, adding 1 tablespoon of squeezed lemon, 1 teaspoon of maple syrup and a pinch of cayenne pepper. Of course, you can prepare a liter bottle and consume it during the day, adjusting the quantities of ingredients: 1 liter of water, 2 squeezed lemons, 2 tablespoons of maple syrup and 1 teaspoon of cayenne pepper. The herbal tea can be drunk either hot or cold, but lukewarm would be better.

Contraindications

It is necessary to get the opinion of your doctor before starting, because only he can tell you if it is a diet suitable for your body. Absolutely not to follow if you suffer from acidity and gastroesophageal reflux. Also, drinking lemon water frequently can damage tooth enamel, so you need to take appropriate precautions, especially if you already have some problems with your teeth.
