  • 1 kg of cherries
  • 2 ripe apples
  • 1 grated zest of organic lemon
  • 1 lemon juice


  1. First, wash the cherries, drain them, peel the apples and clean them, removing the core, then place everything in a fairly sized pot with a thick bottom.
  2. Now add the lemon zest and juice, turn on the heat, bring to the boil while stirring constantly, then leave to cook over medium heat for 1 hour .
  3. After this period of time, check the cooking of the jam, then pour a teaspoon into a saucer, tilt it and make sure that it does not slip quickly. Once you reach this consistency, you can turn off the heat.
  4. Finally, pour the jam into specially and carefully sterilized glass jars, close with the cap, turn upside down to create a vacuum and put in the pantry.

As we have already said, cherry jam is sugar-free, so it must be consumed within 3-4 months . Once you open the jam, place it in the fridge and consume it within a week. If you notice any changes in consistency, smell or taste, throw everything away.
